Sniper Rifle Meditation — The Mindset To Accurately Hit Your Business Goals

Breathe in. Breathe out. Squeeze the trigger…

‘BAM’ — ‘ting’.

There are similarities in business and in firing a sniper rifle .

Firearms are best handled without stress, without panic and from a place of mindfulness. You have to know what you’re doing and the effects of every action.

One misalignment and you’re off by 1 or 2 degrees.

It doesn’t seem like much, but over the length of the target range, that can be the difference between a bullseye and a complete miss.

How is business any different?

If you race out onto the market stressed, highly strung and desperate to hit a bullseye, you’re going to miss.

Contracts. Investors. Deals. Sales.

Whooosh… You weren’t even close.

The more mindful, self-aware and at peace you are, the more accurately you can see your business goals and hit those targets.

But I wanted to physically embody this, to experience it.

So I went down to Escondido, just north of San Diego, to learn Sniper Rifle Meditation.

Yeah, literally meditating and firing guns.

I brought my video guys and we made a short documentary about it.

Is this just crazy talk? You be the judge:

What an experience!

Accuracy is a thousand times better just by taking deep slow breaths and centering yourself.

Meditation really is life-changing. I’d encourage you to try it.

Check out the video and I’d love to hear from you in the comments:

  • What’s the worst stress you’ve faced in business before?
  • How did you overcome that stress?
  • Has your business improved by taking a relaxed, meditative approach?

Let me know.
